The Alpine varsity baseball team ended its season this past weekend as runners-up in the Bi-District Championship, capping off a standout year with its best regular-season record since the pandemic.

The Alpine Lady Bucks’ dominant softball season came to a close over the weekend, as they were edged out of the playoffs by Lamesa in a two-game bi-district series.

The Lady Bucks golfers hit the links in Baird last week, completing the 1-3A Regional tournament in 13th place overall. The top competitor for the Alpine girls was Colette Fowlkes, who earned a 17th-place finish out of 96 other golfers.

The Alpine Runnin’ Bucks traveled to Abilene last week to compete in the 1-3A Regional track meet after stealing the show at their district and area competitions. Unlike the two previous meets, the team faced stiff competition against runners and field event competitors.

The Alpine Lady Bucks varsity softball team put the finishing touches on a perfect regular season last Thursday night, powering past the visiting Kermit Lady Yellow Jackets in an 11-1 win.
