AHS golf takes district

On Monday, the Alpine High School boys’ and girls’ golf teams completed round two of their district golf tournament and ended the day as District Champions. In last week’s round, the boys’ team finished the day with a total score of 353.

Bucks out-hit Anthony in tough road loss

The Alpine High School varsity baseball team hit the road on Friday, March 21, wrapping up their Spring Break with a trip to the El Paso area for a district showdown against the Anthony Wildcats. Riding a six-game winning streak heading into district play, the Bucks were looking to keep their momentum going, but despite a strong effort on both sides of the ball, they fell 2-5 in a tough battle on the New Mexico border.

The Alpine Lady Bucks softball team has been swinging for the fences and running the bases like they stole something, and this past week was no different. With two dominant district wins and a nail-biter on the road, the ladies are proving they’re a force to be reckoned with this season.

AMS Tennis competes in Fort Stockton

The Alpine Middle School 7th and 8th grade tennis teams traveled to Fort Stockton this past Saturday for the Middle School Comanche Classic Tennis Tournament. Roman Holguin placed second in the boys’ 7th grade singles after falling to Abell Jr High in the Championship match 1-6.
Ryder Vasquez and Reuben Prieto took the consolation round in the 7th-grade boys’ doubles tennis tournament held Saturday in Fort Stockton.

Valenzuela dominates the mound in Bucks’ 7-1 win

The Alpine Fightin’ Bucks baseball kicked off their 2025 season at Kokernot Field on Tuesday, March 11, with a dominant 7-1 victory over Monahans in their home opener. Behind an impressive performance from senior pitcher David Valenzuela, who struck out 10 batters, the Bucks earned their ninth win of the season.
Kelton Tarrant lays down a fielder’s choice in Alpine’s 7-1 victory over Monahans at home. The Bucks enter district play this week with a solid 9-4 record.
