Glenn Richard Standly passed away on August 3. He was born in Bynum to Charlie Lloyd and Flora Mackey Standly on January 17, 1944. Glenn was a 1962 graduate of Hillsboro High School before matriculating at then Abilene Christian College where he met and married the love of his life, Cheryl “Charlie” Keetch. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from ACC and later enhanced his education with a Master’s degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock.

Samuel Andrew Morgan Powell, “Drew”, 61, beloved husband, father, and brother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14. He was born in Alexandria, Virginia, on January 9, 1963. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 31 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church, 301 Hays Country Acres Rd, Dripping Springs; telephone: (512) 8584924. Clayton Bedell, 66, of Alpine, died suddenly at home of a suspected aortic aneurysm rupture on August 10. We know that he was met at Heaven’s gate by his beloved son, Patrick Bedell.

Joe was known for his perseverance and ability to analyze and repair plumbing issues as well as many engine issues on old classic cars and trucks. He was self-taught on solar and battery systems.
