Body Nelson Lenord Lethco, Jr., “Lenord”, aged 75, passed away on September 10, 2026. Lenord was born on April 23, 1951, in Pecos, to Nelson and Ellen Lethco.

Body John Daniel McCrory was born on January 25, 1938, to Roy L. and Othella Daniel McCrory in Lubbock. The family lived in Amherst, a smalltown northwest of Lubbock where John started elementary school. In 1945 as World War II was ending, his father was drafted into the U.S.

Body Doris Van Cleve-Keen, 79, passed away on August 15, 2026, following a brief illness. Doris was born on September 25, 1946, the eldest daughter of Caswell (C.V.) and Nelda Van Cleve, in Kingsville.

Body Joe Jerry Juarez, lovingly known as “El Tio,” passed away on July 2, 2026. He was born on March 21, 1935, in Alpine.

Body Mathew ‘Matt’ Shane Spencer, 55, died on August 31, 2026, in Odessa, from complications of prolonged illness. He was born on August 3, 1971, in McCamey.

Body Our beloved mother, Dora Delia Vega Rojo, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, in Odessa, with her children at her side. Dora was born in Ft. Stockton on April 2, 1954, to Tomas Granado Vega and Teresa Fierro Vega.

Body Alice Jose Hack passed away August 13, 2026, in Hudson, Wisconsin. She was born in Silver City, New Mexico, Alice Ruth Jose, on April 4, 1939; growing up in the southwest, mainly in New Mexico and Texas.

Body Our Dad, Jack Weldon Smith, passed away at home on Saturday, August 29. Dad was born on January 28, 1945, in Dumas, to Hazel Elizabeth (Palmer) Smith and Weldon Raymond Smith, who have both preceded him in death.

Body Services for Dora Vega Rojo are scheduled for Saturday, September 12, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., followed by the Rosary at 9:30 a.m., and the funeral Mass at 10 a.m.
