Seniors tackle last course on a high note

Alpine High School seniors Hatfield Cason and Hope Dominguez tackled their last crosscountry course this past Saturday in Round Rock — the two qualified for the State Cross-Country Championship after placing well during the regional competition in Lubbock.

Bucks qualify two for state XC championship

Last week in Lubbock, the Region I cross-country championship was held at Mae Simmons Park on October 22. The boys’ and girls’ varsity teams competed after advancing from the district meet held in Presidio on October 9.

Alpine’s Hope Dominguez and Hatfield Cason both qualified for a trip to Round Rock to compete in the State Cross-Country meet to be held this weekend. These Runnin’ Bucks will hit the road with a send-off on Friday at 8:10 a.m. at the Alpine High School parking lot. Good luck, Runnin’ Bucks!

Alpine Fightin’ Bucks remain undefeated in district, pummel Anthony Wildcats 59-22

The Alpine High School Fightin’ Bucks continued their undefeated march through district play with an impressive 59-22 victory over the Anthony Wildcats on Friday, October 25, in Anthony. This win cements Alpine’s 4-0 record in district competition as the Bucks keep their eyes on a district title and the momentum toward a strong playoff run.

Lady Bucks claim undefeated district title, head to playoffs

The Alpine Lady Bucks volleyball team has stamped its dominance on District 4-3A. Finishing the regular season with an impressive 8-0 district record and securing the top spot in the district standings, the Lady Bucks are riding an eight-game winning streak with back-toback wins against Presidio and Anthony. The Lady Bucks are poised for the playoffs.
