Lobo Baseball made some significant strides in 2026, with two All-Star Conference selections, 10 LSC rankings, and 29 additions to the Sul Ross record books, six of them school records. This marked the firstyear Sul Ross added All-LSC selections as well as the first Lone Star split in program history, with the Lobos going 2-2 against Eastern New Mexico, UT Dallas, and Oklahoma Christian.

Cowboys capture Division lead following America 250 weekend series

The Alpine Cowboys celebrated Independence Day at Historic Kokernot Field during one of the club’s signature traditions, welcoming fans from across the Big Bend for four nights of baseball during the America 250 holiday weekend. While the Pecos Bills claimed three of the four games in Alpine, the Cowboys responded with a road victory Monday night and emerged from the series atop the Mountain South Division standings.

Cowboys sit third in wins, fourth overall in Pecos League action

Of the three divisions in the Pecos League, the Alpine Cowboys are leading the Mountain Division South with a 19-11 record. They currently sit three games behind the Trinidad Triggers of the Mountain Division North, and one game behind the Garden City Wind, also in the Mountain Division North, and the Dublin Leprechauns of the Pacifi c Division in terms of games won, but the percentages tell a little bit different story.
