Sul Ross soccer offers newly remodeled complex

The Sul Ross Men’s and Women’s Soccer Programs are proud to announce the opening of their newly remodeled soccer complex. The redeveloped, fanfriendly stadium features a front entry portal to greet fans, an awning to protect the faithful from rain, and sun, a railing separating the fans from the playing surface, updated windscreen, brand new world cup style goals and nets, bench coverings for the players and coaches, as well as a new storage shed.

Runnin’ Lady Bucks exemplify Buck excellence

Amidst overcast skies, warm temperatures, and humidity, the Alpine Runnin’ Lady Buck relay team did Alpine proud. Facing tough competition in the 3-A competition against eight other top schools, the Lady Bucks placed seventh, with a time of 1:45.98.

Senior Ummi Chanez of Marfa held her own in Austin last week against competitors from across the state in the 1A 1600 Meter and 3200M races. Her coach, Edgar Ramirez said, “Ummi has been to state in cross country all four years of high school, but this is the first year she’s competed in track.

The Runnin’ Lady Bucks 800-meter relay team consisting of Novah Carrasco, Valeria Crespo, Danica Mulholland, and Vanessa Rice traveled to Austin this week to compete at the 3A State track and field competition.
