Coaching isn’t just about wins and losses — it’s about shaping young athletes on and off the field. For Alpine’s head baseball coach, Adam Llanez, reaching his 100th career win is a significant milestone, but it’s the journey, not the number, that stands out to him.

The Alpine Middle School 7th and 8th grade tennis teams traveled to Fort Stockton this past Saturday for the Middle School Comanche Classic Tennis Tournament. Roman Holguin placed second in the boys’ 7th grade singles after falling to Abell Jr High in the Championship match 1-6.

The Alpine High School softball team traveled to Anthony to face the Wildcats for their district opener on Saturday. The girls were looking to get back in the win column after two tough games against Odessa and Midland Legacy.

The Alpine Fightin’ Bucks baseball kicked off their 2025 season at Kokernot Field on Tuesday, March 11, with a dominant 7-1 victory over Monahans in their home opener. Behind an impressive performance from senior pitcher David Valenzuela, who struck out 10 batters, the Bucks earned their ninth win of the season.
