Jean Espy Everett (Nene) wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, a friend, and mentor to many, passed away peacefully on October 28th, 2022, surrounded by her family. Jean was born on March 9th, 1939, in Fort Davis, Texas to Pansy and (Big) Jim Espy. She is survived by her husband Tommy Everett of Fort Davis, TX, sister Pat Smith of Hobbs, New Mexico, sister Ann and Jim Duncan of Lake Whitney, TX, and Brother Jim and Sally Espy of Fort Davis, TX. Jean is survived by her three children Debby McIvor of Fort Davis, TX, Rick McIvor of Fort Davis, TX, and Scott McIvor and wife Julie of Fort Davis, TX and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

LaDonna Marie Schneider died due to an accidental fall in Morrison, Okla., on Sept. 30, 2022. Her mother and step-father, Elaine and Billy T. Davenport, are long-time residents of Alpine, Texas. She was born on April 19, 1964, in Odessa, Texas. She graduated from high school in Oklahoma, and attended college in both Oklahoma and California.

Earl Richard “Dick”Wallis

Earl Richard “Dick” Wallis passed away on Sept. 27, 2022, in El Paso, Texas. Graveside services were held on Oct. 1, 2022, at Elm Grove Cemetery in Alpine, Texas. Dick was born on Sept. 25, 1931, near Bosler, Wyo. He is the son of Lew Elmer Wallis and Esther Anna Drube Wallis. He graduated from Longmont High School in Longmont, Colo., and attended Colorado State University for a semester before joining the Navy in 1951. He served during the Korean War. He rode in the belly of the aircraft, and spotted submarine trails on the Atlantic Ocean. In 1954 he returned to Wyoming, and attended the University of Wyoming and was on the rodeo team. He was a National Intercollegiate Reserve Champion Bull Rider in 1957.

Orlando Espinosa, 67, of Pflugerville, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 5, 2022, in his hometown of Alpine, Texas, at Big Bend Regional Hospital. As many of you know, Orlando was a devout Catholic, and prayed his rosary daily. Please pray for the repose of his soul.
