Alice Maurine Pendelton, 94, of Alpine, passed away on August 5, peacefully with her son Leslie Lanier, daughter Lisa Lanier, and grandson Justin Rowan by her side after a courageous battle with dementia. She faced her illness with remarkable strength and grace, giving it her all until the very end.

Elisa Belle Rodríguez de Olivas, 93, of Fort Davis, passed away on Saturday, August 2, in Fort Stockton. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 9, with rosary at 10:30 a.m., at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Davis.

Albert Patrick Goettle, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 31 at the age of 72. Born March 17, 1953, in Longview to Walter and Elizabeth Goettle.

A longtime and devoted Pecos educator, Delma Hernandez Molinar, peacefully passed away on July 22, 2025, at her home in Pecos, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 6, 1936, in Alpine, to Jesusita and David Hernandez, Sr., Delma lived a life centered on faith, family, service, and education.

Mark Wayne Sullivan was born July 11, 1954, to Wayne and Chestal Sullivan of Bardwell, Texas. Being the prized only son amongst five girls, he would forever be affectionately known by the family as “The Boy.”

Belinda L. Espinoza, a dedicated mother and grandmother whose love knew no bounds, was born on March 9, 1967, in Alpine and left this earth far too soon on July 4, also in Alpine. Anyone who had the honor of knowing Belinda will remember her fiercely hardworking nature and vibrant spirit. Throughout her life, Belinda embraced her career with an unwavering commitment, often juggling multiple jobs to provide for her family. She lent her talents to Sul Ross State University, as well as several years at the local grocery store, where she held various positions from bakery staff to cashier and even store manager. Her final role was as a trusted mail carrier for the United States Postal Service, a testament to her tenacity and strong work ethic.

Becky DeLeon, 75, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, June 29. Celebration of life services will be at 3 p.m., Friday, July 11, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Pastor Darrel Bonjour officiating.

Melanie Grace Musgrave Elliott passed away at Val Verde Regional Medical Center, surrounded by family, on June 21, after a brief but very brave battle with cancer. She was born in Los Angeles, California, on June 15, 1961, to Joseph Lafayette Musgrave and Patricia Anne Devine Musgrave, who preceded her in death.

December 21, 1951 – July 13, 2024 Helen was born in El Paso on December 21, 1951, to Elva and Ernesto Gallego, and passed away in Warmsroth, Germany, with her beloved ones by her side on July 13, 2024. Helen followed her heart in faith that led her to Bible College in Kansas, where she would meet her future husband, Wolfgang Schneider.

Friends and neighbors are welcome to join family for a memorial service for Margaret Helen Blackman at the Fort Davis United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on Friday, July 4, at 10 a.m..
