Body Kristin M. Garcia, 67, died unexpectedly July 5, from secondary to complications of cancer. She was born October 5, 1956, in Enid, Oklahoma to Stephen Kirk Carpenter and Barbara Kristin (Bergstrom) Carpenter. She graduated from Berea High School, Class of 73.

Body Pamela Sue Salcido of Fort Davis entered her rest June 17. A graveside service for Pamela will be held Saturday, July 15 at 10 a.m. at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery in Fort Davis. All Services are under the direction of Davis Mountains Funeral Hall -Mobile Mortician of Texas.

Body Margaret Stella Smietana passed away quietly in her sleep on May 9. She was 86 and had lived in Alpine for the past 16 years.

Body Benito “Ben” Aranda Cobos Jr., 89 years old, passed away peacefully on June 27, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Alpine. Ben was born on April 13, 1934, to Benito Franco Cobos and Elvira Aranda Cobos in Alpine.

Body It is with great sadness and extremely heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Gabriella “Gabby” Allyse Rodriguez, beloved mother, daughter, fiancée, friend and her unborn son, Ezekiel Nathaniel Rodriguez Gonzalez.

Body Albert Hartnett Rojo, Jr, “Conky”, entered eternal rest on February 8th, at the age of 71, at home in San Jose, CA. Albert was born on April 26, 1951, in Ysleta, and raised in Alpine.

Body Eleanor Margaret Hay Foster passed away on June 11, in Rio Communities, New Mexico where she had lived her last fourteen months with her daughter. She was born October 26, 1928 at Hiway, Roosevelt County, New Mexico to Anna Clyng Hay and Eugene Wells Hay.

Body Mary M. Pallanez 85, of Alpine, passed away on Thursday June 8, at her home after a short illness.

Body Miriam McCoy, matriarch of her family and a Texas philanthropist, passed away on June 14. She was born to Lloyd Swanson and Florence Yager Swanson on December 17, 1924, on Long Island, New York.

Body Sally Ann LaBeff Farrer, 82, longtime resident of Alpine, passed away on June 5, at Big Bend Regional Medical Center. Sally was born in Alpine on August 24, 1940, and was the firstborn child of Ray and Frances LaBeff.
