Joseph Paul Milder

Body
Joseph Paul Milder was called home to our lord Wednesday,April 12. He and his wife Carolyn were longtime residents of Alpine. He was a lifelong fan of baseball; it didn’t matter too much who was playing but definitely a fan of the Braves and Rangers. His introduction to baseball came from the Assumption Seminary in San Antonio while he was a student in the 1950’s. He spent much of his life as a mechanic and metal fabricator. Mechanics and fabrication were natural pursuits given his eye for detail and regard for safety. He got his start in metal fabrication with A E Collins in El Campo. While he worked there, he enlisted in the Texas National Guard as a tank retriever mechanic, where he met the love of his life, Carloyn. They had three children and found their way to Alpine in the early 1970’s where he spent the remainder of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carloyn and two sons, Joseph Paul Milder Jr and Cecil Robert Milder.
