Body Joseph Paul Milder was called home to our lord Wednesday,April 12. He and his wife Carolyn were longtime residents of Alpine. He was a lifelong fan of baseball; it didn’t matter too much who was playing but definitely a fan of the Braves and Rangers.

Body Silvestra Lara Molinar of Fort Davis passed away at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, on Saturday May 6, at the age of 92. Silvestra was born on January 30, 1931, to Brijido Dutchover Lara and Maria Quiroz Lara in Fort Davis.

Body Dr. Paul Arthur Will, 77 of Alpine, made his entrance into heaven Feb. 26, in Waco. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 27 at 1:30 p.m. in the Paul A. Will lecture hall at the Turner Range Animal Science Center at Sul Ross State University.

Body It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Vincent J. Lavallee Jr., on April 17. Vince was born the second child of four siblings to Vincent J. Lavallee Sr. and Merele Lavallee of Holyoke, Massachusetts.

Body Judith Ann Parsons, 80, of Alpine, passed away April 3, in Amarillo. Born in Canyon, Judy was a beloved sister, aunt, and teacher.

Body Sarah Whitson Bourbon, 76, of Terlingua passed away on March 30, at her home in Terlingua. Sarah was born September 12, 1946, to Caroline and John Whitson in Denton.

Body In loving memory of Brian Kenneth Kokernot, born on April 27, 1953, in Utica, NY, died on Jan. 4, in Austin. He was a long-time resident of Alpine. He loved to hunt and fish and golf and tennis were his favorite ball sports. Brian was a friend to many here.

Body “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid …” John 14:1 John “Jay” William Ward, age 90, of Fort Davis, passed away on Sunday April 2 in Alpine. John was born on 21 May 1932 to John Irby and Cora Ellie (Cole) Ward in Gainesville.

Body Christopher Paul Chavez, 33, of Early, Texas went to his heavenly home on April 8, surrounded by those who loved and cared for him. Chris was born in Alpine on October 13, 1989. He was known for his humor, sarcasm, and great passion for everything he loved.

Body Funeral service for Raymond R. Cobos, 60, of Lamesa, was held Friday, March 31, at 12 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home in Lamesa. A burial followed at Dawson County Cemetery.
