Body Jared Austin Strait, ”J-rod” or “Str8er”, of Enfield, NY, formerly of Lansing, NY, passed away tragically on June 9, as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident in Texas. Jared was born on March 25, 1998, to James and Janet Strait.

Body Oscar “O” Ramirez Lujan, 48, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, and coach passed away on Friday, June 2. He was born on May 5, 1975, in El Paso, to Zeke and Elpidia Lujan.

Body Gloria Martinez was born in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico on August 21, 1951, to Simon and Lorenza. She was raised on a ranch in Ojos Calientes, Chihuahua. Gloria worked at Altuda Ranch in Alpine from 1980 to 2021.

Body Oscar Molinar, 57, passed away on May 21, in Odessa. Oscar was born in Alpine to Juan and Manuela Molinar on April 2, 1966.

Body Roy Thomas McBride passed away on Tuesday, May 24, on a ranch near Alpine. He was almost 87 years old and resided in Alpine most of his life. He was an international wildlife biologist, entrepreneur, inventor, manufacturer, and rancher.

Body December 16, 1940 March 19, 2023 Dale Christophersen died peacefully on March 19, at the Austin home of his daughter Kirsten, ending his battle with lung cancer and chronic pulmonary disease.

Body Juan Anaya Chavez, Jr. of Alpine, passed away on May 12 at Pecos County Memorial Hospital in Fort Stockton, at the age of 91 from health issues.

Body Oscar Hinojos, 65, of Alpine, passed away on May 8. Oscar, known to all as Ruco or Rucito, was born to Hermelindo and Marie Ida (La Negra) Hinojos, on May 17, 1957, in Alpine. Services will be at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine. Rosary, June 23 at 7 p.m.
