Esequiel R. Contreras , 78, of Alpine, Texas, passed away on Oct. 12, 2021, in El Paso, Texas.

Rosary will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine.

Esequiel was born in Mexico to Antonio and Maria Contreras on May 10, 1943. He married Santos on Nov. 22, 1971, in Ojinaga, Mexico. He worked as a custodian for Alpine ISD for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Maria Contreras, and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife Santos; sons David, Saul, and Zeeck; and daughter Irma.
