Meet Raven.

Raven was surrendered to the shelter with her seven siblings due to a neglect case from outside the city limits of Alpine.

She is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. She is great on a leash and loves playing with other dogs. She may need a little more potty training to perfect everything, but she keeps her kennel clean during the day and is smart enough to pick up on training quickly.

After 25 years in higher education, Dr. Yvonne Realivasquez has taken a new path. As of September 1, she became the Director of the Rural Pathway Excellence Program (RPEP) for Alpine ISD, a position funded by the Stillwater and Moody Foundations.

Alpine freshmen undefeated district champs

Early voting ends tomorrow

Brewster County residents interested in early voting should do so by 7 p.m. tomorrow at the Judge Val Clark Beard Office Complex, 203 N. 7th Street, in the old library. The polls are open today until 7 p.m. and will reopen tomorrow at 7 a.m.

Despite a little afternoon rain last Thursday, the City of Alpine, Alpine Police Department, and Alpine Elementary School set up a hay bale maze at AES along with hundreds of pumpkins that each student was able to take home with them after they enjoyed their trip through the pumpkin patch and maze last Friday. Memorial plaque presented to soccer coach

This past Saturday, Sul Ross Lady Lobo Soccer Coach John Dominguez was presented with a plaque honoring the memory of Houston Police Officer Reuben Becerra DeLeon, who was killed in the line of duty on October 26, 2005.
