Come meet Maci. Maci is a Husky/ Terrier mix, she has an unusual and striking look due to her one blue eye, known as heterochromia, which can occur in humans as well. Maci came to the shelter as a stray with her brother Fury. She is a sweet and affectionate young girl who likes to play fetch.

Alpine ISD to host youth football camp

The Alpine ISD youth football camp for both boys and girls in incoming grades first through sixth will be held on Wednesday, June 12. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. that same day and the camp will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

PBAF honors Mary Bones

After 24 years with the Museum of the Big Bend, Director Mary Bones hung up her hat on April 30. Thanks to her remarkable contribution to the establishment, the Permian Basin Area Foundation is celebrating her legacy by creating the Mary Bones Endowment for the Museum of the Big Bend.

Thank you Alpine and first responders A fire that seemed to begin somewhere in the rear of Judy’s Bread and Breakfast spread to the entire building, destroying our beloved GOTS and all of its contents. It also consumed Judy’s B & B, Eva’s Salon, La Azteca, and Vintage Antiques & Snazzy Things.

Summer food program available at AES

The summer food program that Alpine ISD sponsors is in full swing as of this past Tuesday, May 28. This program provides lunches for children up to 18 years of age or children with special needs up to 21 years of age. Lunches are free to the children regardless if they are enrolled at AISD or not.
