He wasn’t just selling books; he was peddling the concentrated wisdom of humanity, bound in majestic, burgundy volumes, gold-lettered with “Encyclopedia Britannica.” For his closing pitch, the door-to-door entrepreneur leaned in with the confidence of a magician who possessed every secret of the universe.

The Alpine ISD Board of Trustees met last Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at the AISD Administration building.

The Alpine City Council held its regular meeting on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. with all council members present except Ward 2 Councilor Eva Martinez.
