The Lone Ranger and other digital discoveries

“Who was that masked man?” — AI One long-ago sweltering summer night in Seymour, Texas, a salesman sat in our living room. He wasn’t just selling books; he was peddling the concentrated wisdom of humanity, bound in majestic, burgundy volumes, gold-lettered with “Encyclopedia Britannica.” For his closing pitch, the door-to-door entrepreneur leaned in with the confidence of a magician who possessed every secret of the universe.

Local healthcare business receives national recognition

Body
Sitting unassuming on the corner at 610 E. Holland Avenue in Alpine is Agave Home Health. This small, locally owned business was selected by Newsweek as one of America’s Best Home Health Agencies. Based on quality metrics, peer recommendations, patient experience, and accreditations, Agave was ranked as one of the top 300 agencies in the country out of over 10,000 home health agencies and is ranked 27th in the state of Texas. Administrator and owner, Angela Juett, RN, said, “Our staff was thrilled as soon as we saw the article. Each of us works very hard to ensure we are providing the highest quality health care, while also following the extreme rules and regulations from Medicare. To think, our tiny agency, in the middle of nowhere, is a contender across the nation is exciting to say the least. We value dignity, comfort, and real outcomes, not just numbers. The recogni- tion is confirmation that our agency delivers exemplary care and shows that we are improving people’s lives.”
