Body The Tri-County Voter Promoters was formed from a long-standing voter registration effort by volunteers in Jeff Davis County. In 2020, these volunteers began to explore new options for registering voters, ultimately deciding to form the Tri-County Voter Promoters.

Body Airman Justin Miller, a native of Alpine, serves the U.S. Navy assigned to the Center for Naval Aviation Training Technical Unit, where sailors learn the skills needed to ensure aircraft are missionready. Miller graduated from Alpine High School in 2020.

Body I have never responded to any letter to the editor before, but last week’s lengthy letter was way too much not to respond to. Don’t judge our mayor Ms. Eaves, who is the best leader our city has, and tries very hard to keep unity.

Body Although our esteemed mayor Eaves suggested otherwise in last week’s Sentinel letter, safety from gun violence is an extremely local issue, as those of us who experienced the Alpine High School shooting in 2016, or the Uvalde shooting in 2022, understand.

Body While I am far from a constitutional scholar I did grow up in a Southern Baptist Church in El Paso. And, while not in the “Bible Belt” I remember the doctrine of “separation of church and state” being hammered into me regularly and I bought into it like it was the gospel!
