BBT recently announced the availability of 100% fiber connectivity in Comstock, Langtry, Sanderson, and Sheffield, allowing residents and businesses to connect to high performance technology and new opportunities.

The Hal Flanders Recycling Center is source separated, which means visitors separate their own recycling at home or on-site. The job of a recycling tech is very important. They assist and educate visitors on how and where to place recycling items. Their goal is to keep recycling streams clean with minimal contamination, and to prevent loads from being landfilled.

The Lady Bucks volleyball team hit the road Saturday with a chance to clinch the District championship. Waiting for them was the Lady Birds of Crane, hungry for revenge after getting swept in their only loss of the season to Alpine. Things got underway after a thrilling comeback win for JV Gold.

LaDonna Marie Schneider died due to an accidental fall in Morrison, Okla., on Sept. 30, 2022. Her mother and step-father, Elaine and Billy T. Davenport, are long-time residents of Alpine, Texas. She was born on April 19, 1964, in Odessa, Texas. She graduated from high school in Oklahoma, and attended college in both Oklahoma and California.

The Alpine Fightin’ Bucks traveled to Greenwood on Oct. 21 to face Odessa Compass for their second round in District play.

Brewster County Commissioners Court held its regularly scheduled meeting on Oct. 25, and county Veterans Affairs Officer Adam Daley, a 23-year U.S. Army veteran, presented a quarterly report, addressing concerns made by residents and vets.
