Body WEEK Alpine Humane Society Pet of the Week is Katie, a heeler mix who is six-and-a-half years old. She came to the shelter with her “sister friend” Athena. She walks nicely on a leash, and is doing well in playgroups. Katie is affectionate and listens well.

Body Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church of Alpine Knights of Columbus will be distributing Thanksgiving boxes to those in need. They are accepting donations of canned food and other non-perishables that would be appropriate for Thanksgiving.

Body OCT. 28 Travel Talk, 7 p.m. at Alpine Public Library, 805 W. Ave. E, in the AEP Foundation Multipurpose Room. Matt Walter, curator of Museum of the Big Bend, will share photographs and stories about the place he knows best - Alpine.

Body BBT recently announced the availability of 100% fiber connectivity in Comstock, Langtry, Sanderson, and Sheffield, allowing residents and businesses to connect to high performance technology and new opportunities.

Body Brewster County Commissioners Court held its regularly scheduled meeting on Oct. 25, and county Veterans Affairs Officer Adam Daley, a 23-year U.S. Army veteran, presented a quarterly report, addressing concerns made by residents and vets.
