Funeral services for Oran Marshall Duncan, 52, of Denver City, Texas, were held April 22, 2022, in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Marty Akins officiating. Interment followed in the Denver City Memorial Park with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home. Oran passed away April 18, 2022, in Denver City.
Charles Wade Smith, fondly known to all as Wade, came into this world on Aug. 13, 1955, and was the second son to Charles and Nan Marie Smith in Edinburg, Texas. On April 5, 2022 he passed away peacefully at the age of 66 in Galveston, Texas.
Reyes Castillo, Jr., aka “Sonny,” was called home peacefully March 23, 2022, in the middle of the night with his wife Linda by his bedside after a courageous and difficult battle with Parkinson’s disease. His extremely faithful family believes his faith led him into the Kingdom of Heaven walking into our Lord’s open arms.
With the love of her beloved family by her side, Estela C. Madrid, 83, of Marfa, Texas, closed her eyes to her earthly home, and opened them to her heavenly home on April 5, 2022.
Today our hearts remain broken as we mourn the loss of our beloved sister Mary Sanchez. Her bright light and big heart were gone way too soon, but we will always remember her warmth, love, and generosity.
Steven Charles Schroeder, Sr. left this earth unexpectedly to join Jesus in Heaven on March 14, 2022. Steve was born Dec. 8, 1944, in Lincoln, Neb., to Dot and Wally Schroeder, where Wally was stationed during World War II. Sadly, Wally was killed in the war when Steve was four months old, and never met his baby boy.
Virginia C. Gonzales, former resident of Midland, Texas, and former resident of Alpine, Texas, closed her eyes to her earthly home and opened them to her Heavenly home on June 2, 2019, in Midland with her beloved family by her side. She was 79.
