Sul Ross has a new men’s head soccer coach. Bailey Guffin, former head coach at Oklahoma Panhandle State University, will take over and lead the men’s team this season.

Cowboys to host baseball camp
The Alpine Cowboys will host a baseball camp on July 26 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The camp is open to kids ages six and up and participants will need a glove and workout clothes, which includes running shoes, shorts or baseball pants, and a water bottle and a hat are highly recommended.
Sul Ross Rodeo makes history once again
Sul Ross State University is the birthplace of the college rodeo. It is where the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association began, and its history has helped pave the way for a cowboy from Idaho to help achieve his dreams.
Cowboys endure series losses to Tucson, Roswell
The dog days of summer roll on for the Alpine Cowboys. Facing their toughest stretch of the Pecos League schedule, the Cowboys lost four of six to the Tucson Saguaros and four of five on the road to the Roswell Invaders.

The Alpine High School and Alpine Middle School cheerleading squads participated at the NCA Summer Cheer Camp in Lubbock last week.
Cowboys sweep Wind, drop series in Tucson
Playing their first home series since the passing of pitcher Jared Strait, the Alpine o6 Cowboys swept the Garden City Wind at Kokernot Field June 12-14. Alpine trailed early in each game but managed to complete the comeback through clutch hits and capitalizing on Garden City’s mistakes.
