The Alpine Cowboys, the Pecos League’s powerhouse, are continuing their record-breaking run, now holding a 22-1 record after a series of impressive victories this past week. The Cowboys’ dominance was on full display in their recent home stand against the Roswell Invaders, showcasing a combination of stellar pitching, explosive offense, and airtight defense.

The Alpine 7on7 team has been hosting bake sales and burrito sales, and just this past Tuesday held a hamburger sale at the American Legion to earn money for their trip to College Station to play in this year’s 7on7 Division III championship.

The week was a rollercoaster of emotions, marked by both triumphant victories and a heartbreaking loss, all while honoring the memory of a fallen teammate.

Early mornings, trips to Europe, late nights, and many hours on the road are just a few of the things Alpine High School cross country and head girl’s track and field coach has been up to in the past year. Cason also teaches history at AHS and her trip to Europe in the summer of 2023 along with fellow teacher Mrs. Parson, was one way she was able to bring personal, real-life experience to her students in the classroom.
