Cowboys take series over Garden City before falling to Roswell ahead of All-Star break

The Alpine Cowboys added a hard-earned series win to their resume last Tuesday, edging out the Garden City Wind 5-4 at Clint Lightner Stadium. Behind a commanding performance from starting pitcher Jacob Bradley and clutch offense, Alpine sealed the rubber match of the three-game series before heading to Roswell, where they would struggle through a tough three-game stretch against the Invaders.

As the final fireworks faded from last week’s Fourth of July celebrations, the Alpine Fightin’ Bucks turned their focus to a different kind of spark—igniting their push toward the 2025 football season. For the Alpine Bucks, it’s halftime in the offseason, and every rep, sprint, and film session now takes on added urgency as the countdown to kickoff begins.

The Alpine Cowboys faced a rollercoaster week of baseball as they battled through back-to-back series against the Pecos Bills and the Garden City Wind during a festive and competitive Fourth of July stretch. The week began with back-to-back losses to the Pecos Bills.
