Kimberly Sue Sherrell (Kim),61, went to be with our Lord on September 5, calmed by family members in El Paso. She was born on May 15, 1964, in Alpine to Arlie and Sharron Bryant.

Kim was a devoted servant of Christ, a loving mother, grandmother, and wife of 43 years to her husband, Dan. She was a lifelong member of The United Methodist Church and served her churches through many appointments throughout the years. She sang in the choir and served faithfully at the right hand of her husband in her final role as a devoted pastor’s wife.

As a youth, Kim was a loyal friend and a scholar. She kept the same friends from birth to death and helped many of her friends through some of their worst trials. She was always at the top of her class and became a top-notch flautist and piccolo player. She graduated from Alpine High School at the top of her class in 1982 and received a BBA from Sul Ross State University in 1985. Shortly thereafter, she passed the Texas C.P.A. exam in 1992 and worked in accounting until 2022.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharron (Grossman) Bryant.

Her survivors include her father, Arlie (Larry) Bryant; sister, Lori Kimbrough and husband Maury, niece Kayla Barron and husband Justin, sister Melissa and husband Peter, son Keenon Sherrell and wife, Katelynne, and granddaughter Clara and grandson Derek, Daughter Brianna Duerkson and husband Ben, and grandson Jarren, along with her husband Dan Sherrell.

There will be a celebration of life service for Kim in Cloudcroft, NM, at Cloudcroft UMC, where Kim and Dan have served since July of 2020, on October 10, 2025, at 11 a.m.

Philippians 4:13 defi ned his life: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
