Cody Austin Ward, 26, of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., passed away on Sept. 14, 2021. He was born on June 12, 1995, to Jeffery and Linda Ward in Alpine, Texas. After Cody graduated from Alpine High School in 2013, he went on to study Culinary Arts at Le Cordon Bleu in Austin, Texas.

From there he proceeded to advance his career in the food industry by becoming a general manager of a well known restaurant, The Craft Bar.

Cody was predeceased by his father Jeffery Ward. He is survived by his mother Linda, and his older brother Justin, as well as his extended family and an abundance of friends. We will all miss him more than words can say.

Services will be held at our family plot in Terlingua, Texas, on Oct. 7, 2021, at noon. For directions to the location, please contact family through Facebook.
