APL hosts mask competition fundraiser

Body
The Alpine Public Library is hosting a mask competition. After losing some of their much-needed funding, APL has borrowed a 22-year fundraising example from the Ft Collins Museum of Art, in which free paper masks are available at the library for pickup during the month of August to decorate. There are no rules, and the masks may be decorated in any way. They must be returned by November 1, and they will be on display and up for bids at the library’s silent auction during Art-Walk. They will also be judged and awarded ribbons. Interested parties may pick up the masks at the front desk of the Alpine Public Library. For any questions, contact Cathy Lammons at 432-386-0640 or 432-364-2816.

Please return your completed application to application@leadershipbigbend. org by September 1, 2025. Tuition for the program is $250.00 per person and covers all expenses, including the overnight trip “Down South.” Many participants are sponsored by their employer or a club, so please feel free to explore that option. Scholarships will be considered in special circumstances. Since its founding in 1994, Leadership Big Bend has carried out its mission of training and promoting leaders for the tri-county area comprising Brewster, Jeff Davis, and Presidio Counties.
