In a large, non-stick skillet, add the olive oil over medium-high heat.

The Alpine Emergency Services Board held its regular meeting on August 14, with all members present except Albert Benitez, who was excused due to a lastminute work conflict. In a discussion about the budget, Treasurer Stacey Wood informed the board that the Yarbrough Grant had been received for $15,000.

On Sunday, August 31, during the 11 a.m. worship service, First Christian Church, Alpine will celebrate the 135th anniversary of the congregation’s founding. The worship service will be a hymn sing and communion. The congregation will choose the hymns to be sung. After worship, the congregation will host a luncheon for those attending.

The Sul Ross Rodeo Team held its first meeting of the year on Monday, with a long list of requirements, expectations, and excitement. Coach C.J. Aragon once again leads this team of rodeo athletes, with the expectation that if they put in the work, they will see the results.
