Body
In the past we’ve examined those tiny nectar eaters, the hummingbirds. But now with century plants in full bloom, let’s take a closer look at another Big Bend bird that feeds heavily on nectar – the striking Scott’s Oriole.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

Body
Lanyana Hernandez What are you especially looking forward to in your senior year? What I’m especially looking forward to is to graduate, and see what all my classmates decide to do with their lives. What activities are you involved in during your senior year? The activities I was involved my senior year were one act play, and track and field.

You’ll get through this

Body
All three of my children are grown, married, and have kids of their own. Parenting wasn’t easy and it wasn’t always fun, but raising our children was the most amazing long-term experience I’ve ever had. Raising them pushed my wife and I to our limits at times because of leading them to be godly, productive adults, and the problems that came along.

Thank you

Our community is fortunate to have our local law enforcement agencies. They all deserve support for their countless and endless hours of service. We would like to publicly thank the officers from the Alpine Police De partment who have continued to be there for our family. Their demeanor, actions, and words encompass the very definition of compassion. We are so very thankful and appreciative.
