Halloween has come and gone, Thanksgiving is not far behind, and Christmas will come quickly after that. The decorations for all these occurrences began to be displayed in shops and catalogs months ago. Everywhere we look, there are reminders that it is time to acquire gifts and make preparations. It is a busy season for our lives, but it should also be a joyful one. However, for many, it can be quite stressful for many reasons: the crowded shops, the concern that our gift might not be good enough, the troubles of traveling, mailing, preparing the perfect meals, and, for many, the cost of it all.

Dr. Ernest O. “Doc” Reesing dedicated his life to service, education, and the fire profession. A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Class of 1956, Doc combined his passion for science and public safety through a long and distinguished career as both a veterinarian and fire instructor.
