The field house at Sul Ross State University’s football stadium will be dedicated in memory of Randy Jackson during homecoming festivities on Saturday, Oct. 29.

The Borderlands Research Institute is now accepting applications for its Greater Big Bend Conservation Partnership program. This is a cost share program that will reimburse approximately 50% of the overall cost of qualified conservation practices to selected landowners in Brewster, Jeff Davis and Presidio counties. The application period will be open from Oct. 24-Dec. 16, and applications are available online.

Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican rituals date back some 3,000 years where civilizations like the Aztecs honored their dead with offerings of food, drink, and even tools for their journey through the Land of the Dead. In what activities did you participate in high school? Through high school I have participated in the football, basketball, track, and baseball. Who was your favorite teacher/coach, and why? My favorite coach has to be Coach Dominguez because he has always helped me achieve my goals, and be the young man I am today.
