Body The Brewster County Commissioners Court held its regular meeting on Tuesday, July 28, at 9:30 a.m. All commissioners were present, and the meeting was presided over by Brewster County Judge Greg Henington.

Body Dwight Houston Yarbrough, beloved husband, father, veteran, counselor, educator, and longtime Midland resident, passed away after a life defined by service, integrity, compassion, and unwavering faith. A proud alumnus of the University of Oklahoma, Dwight earned his Ph.D.

Body Johnny Joe Marquez, 55, of Alpine, passed away suddenly on July 16, 2026, in Odessa, surrounded by his family and friends. Born in El Paso on August 19, 1970, Johnny spent nearly his entire life in Alpine, the community he loved and faithfully served.
