Runnin’ Bucks show perseverance

Body The Alpine Runnin’ Bucks set off amongst over 700 runners this past weekend at the Sibley Nature Center in Midland during the Tall City Invitational this past Saturday. The high school girls faced 180 Division II runners, while the boys faced 220.
Andynne Ramirez is all smiles as she completed her cross-country race in the middle school division at Midland’s Hogan Park this past Saturday, where she placed ninth out of over 200 runners.

Alpine Bucks narrowly tipped by Mountain View

Body The Alpine Bucks football team was tipped 41-36 in Friday’s nondistrict challenge by the visiting Mountain View Lobos from El Paso. At the Friday night game, the stands were full of supportive spectators and the Alpine Fightin’ Buck Band.

Alpine High School football season underway

Body The Alpine Bucks football team is quickly approaching its first game and head coach Andy Smith is proud of the adjustment the athletes have made, by growing in their skills and learning new ones.

Bolognese Sauce

Body Directions: Melt 1 ½ tablespoons of butter in a large pot over medium-high heat Saute vegetables: add onion, carrot, and celery and saute 4 minutes. Add garlic and saute 1 minute longer. Transfer mixture to a large plate.
