LaDonna Marie Schneider died due to an accidental fall in Morrison, Okla., on Sept. 30, 2022. Her mother and step-father, Elaine and Billy T. Davenport, are long-time residents of Alpine, Texas. She was born on April 19, 1964, in Odessa, Texas. She graduated from high school in Oklahoma, and attended college in both Oklahoma and California.

LaDonna worked in California as a bank offi cer, and as an oil company supply accountant. She raised her beloved daughters in that state with the help of her exhusband, Rick Johnston. She took early retirement due to multiple health problems.

Her faith in Jesus

Christ helped her to remain an optimistic, outgoing person. Family members enjoyed the many letters, pictures, and cards she sent them through the years.

LaDonna was preceded in death by husband Ron Schneider of Ardmore, Okla.; maternal grandparents Justin and Alma Everett of Crane, Texas; paternal grandparents Ewell and Edith Greer of Imperial, Texas; maternal aunt Jeannie Landrum of Crane; and paternal uncle Marvin Greer of Ben Wheeler, Texas.

Her survivors include daughters Adriane Guzman and Abigale Johnston of Ardmore; father James Greer (Nancy) of Mangum, Okla.; mother Elaine Davenport (Billy T.) of Alpine; brother Justin Greer of Mustang, Okla.; maternal aunts Donna Herring (Dal) and Julie Everett of Evansville, Ind.; maternal uncle Glenn Everett (Ginger) of Shertz, Texas; paternal aunt Mary Lemmon of Royal Oak, Mich.; and four grandchildren.

A private celebration of life service will be held in Alpine at a date to be announced in the future. Any memorials to honor LaDonna Schneider may be sent to the Alpine Public Library.
