The state competitions for high school powerlifting have come to an end and several Alpine competitors exhibited their Alpine Buck spirit by winning top spots and scholarship money.
The Alpine Fightin’ Buck baseball team is off to a slow start in district play thus far. Having met up with Crane and Tornillo last week, the Bucks had two hard losses going into their matchup against Stanton on Tuesday, leaving them with a 0-2 record in district play.
The Alpine Buck and Lady Buck track teams traveled to San Angelo over the weekend for the 65th-annual San Angelo Relays. Facing tough competition in one of the largest track meets in the state, the Alpine Lady Bucks were able to come away with a few medals from the two-day event.

The Alpine Fightin’ Buck golf team just keeps improving as their season continues. The boys’ last tournament brought home the first-place win for the Alpine team, and head coach Marco Gomez believes this will give the team the boost of confidence needed to stay at the top.
