Israel and Palestine have been in the news a lot lately, and it hasn’t been good news. Let us remember that this was where Jesus was born, where he taught, fed the thousands, cured the sick, and raised the dead. It was where he died and rose from the dead. These are the Holy Lands. It is the land of the Jews and the Christians.

Dear Neil, we have just moved into an older house that has a very large sycamore tree. It has large pieces of bark coming off its trunk. Apparently, that is normal from all that I’ve read, but I just thought I’d confirm it with you. It’s a beautiful tree, and I wouldn’t want to lose it because I didn’t pay attention to an obvious issue.

What’s more American than Banana Pudding or as Texan as Fredericksburg Peach Cobbler? Ask anyone from the South, and they will agree with you that yes, Banana Pudding is a July 4th musthave for any get-together.
