Body Lydia Torres, Pamela Torres, Kristen Hardwick, and Julie Morton held a benefit bake sale on April 2 outside Porter’s Thriftway grocery store in Alpine to raise funds for medical expenses for family member and Alpine native James Torres, who is currently hospitalized in Odessa.

Body Alpine Humane Society Pet of the Week is Mia, recently surrendered through no fault of her own. Her owner just did not have time for a dog. Mia is full of energy and spunk, and would love nothing more than to get out and explore and go on an adventure.
