New wine bar to open in Alpine

A new Alpine wine bar will be ready to pour just in time for the spring break crowds, and this will not just be another place to grab a drink. Alpine Wine will feature a unique array of fine wines from all over the world in a chic downtown location.

Early voting continues

Early voting for the March 1 Republican and Democratic primary elections continues through next week, and citizens will have many opportunities to cast their ballots. All registered voters in all Brewster County precincts may cast their ballots early at the Val Clark Beard Complex, 203 North Seventh Street in Alpine.

Tom Kelner, Alpine: Yes, I did. It was a great game. I’m glad L.A. won because Matthew Stafford has always been a great quarterback, and he was stuck in Detroit for 13 years and couldn’t get anywhere. I thought he finally deserved to really get there, and win it, and have the ring. I think Joe Burrow and Cincinnati are a great team- I hope they come back and win it again in the future.
