After an intruder entered Dirks-Anderson Elementary School on May 13, Fort Davis ISD Superintendent Jason Crow relieved the campus principal, Darren Kesselus, from his duties effective May 14.

The Brewster County Commissioner’s Court met for their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. All commissioners were present.

Early voting for the 2026 primary runoff election begins on Monday, May 18, and will continue through Friday, May 22, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Val Clark Beard Office Complex located at 203 N. 7th Street in Alpine, where voting for all precincts will take place.
