Body The Alpine Public Library has been working for the past few years on fundraising for expanding their current location. With plans to expand the south and west sides of the building, the demolition is imminent to begin this project.

Body The Alpine ISD board of trustees met last Wednesday, September 20 for their regularly scheduled meeting. Of importance on the agenda was discussion and approval of the tax rate for the 2023-2024 school year, along with news on grants received by the district.

Body The Alpine city council held its regularly scheduled meeting at 5:30 p.m. as well as a workshop regarding city employees and the 2023-2024 tax rate at 4:30 p.m. on September 19. The council approved all of the consent agenda items during this meeting.

Body The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) sent out a reminder last Tuesday that livestock producers in more than 200 counties in Texas may be eligible for financial assistance due to grazing losses due to drought in 2023.
