Body Wilmuth McCarty Skiles, 91, of Langtry and Midland, passed away on Nov. 20. Wilmuth was born in 1931 in Mertzon, to Tillman and Ruby Rosser McCarty and lived her childhood at Mertzon.

Body Dorothy “Dottie” Hocker Smith died peacefully in her home in Alpine on Saturday, Nov. 12 after a long battle with ALS. She was surrounded by her family and her loving caregivers.

Body Born on March 28, 1927, in Oberlin, La, Julie grew up in Eunice, La, where she was the oldest of 11. Julie passed away Nov. 1. She played basketball and sewed for her family. At the age of 21, she moved to Houston, where she taught dance lessons at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio.

Body On Nov. 14, 2022, Aurie Mitchell West was called home to her Lord and Savior at the age of 84. Aurie was born on November 15, 1937, to William Hayes Mitchell Sr. and Adele Crain Mitchell of Marfa. Marfa was where she made her lifetime home with the love of her life, Guy Gene West.

Body Katharine Ann Crockett Davis was a beautiful person inside and out. She was a gifted concert pianist whose rich alto voice was often lifted to praise Jesus Christ. Katharine took her final bow at home in Alpine, Texas on October 21, 2022.

Body Jean Espy Everett (Nene) wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, a friend, and mentor to many, passed away peacefully on October 28th, 2022, surrounded by her family. Jean was born on March 9th, 1939, in Fort Davis, Texas to Pansy and (Big) Jim Espy.
