It is with great sadness that the family of Suzano Martinez Carrillo announces his peaceful passing into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, Jan. 27. Suzano was born on May 24, 1944, in Alpine, to Sabas and Francisca Carrillo. He married Carmen Valenzuela, and together, they raised four children in El Paso.

His family and friends will especially miss his heart to help people, his eagerness to share Jesus with them, and his many stories.

He is survived by his four children: Brenda and John Moore, Diana and Melvyn Harris, Deborah and Jerry Flores, Suzano and Jennifer Carrillo; his eight grandchildren: Ashley Pugh and John W. Moore, Monique, Autumn, Isaiah, and Israel Carrillo, and McKenna and Malachi Harris; and by his two great-grandsons: David Pugh and Zion Carrillo.

Also surviving him are his siblings Anna, Sabas, Oralia, Manuel, and Rosie, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and two siblings, Virginia and Juan Jose.

The service will be on Saturday, Feb. 4, at Alpine First Assembly of God, 1802 Fort Davis Highway with visitation at 1:30 p.m. and service beginning at 2 p.m.
