Stacy Michelle Harrison
August 8, 1981 – January 23, 2025
Alpine resident, Stacy Harrison, died January 23 at the age of 44. Stacy was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, and friend.
Born to Frances Fellows and Mike Harrison in Alpine, Stacy attended elementary school in Marfa before moving to Johnson City, where she graduated from Johnson City High School in 1999. After graduation, Stacy lived in other parts of Texas but always found her way back home to West Texas.
Throughout her life, Stacy worked with people. In Junction, she was an assistant office manager for the South Llano River State Park. Located on the southwestern edge of Texas Hill Country, this was one of her favorite jobs. She loved working outside, and her affection for plants became a mainstay in her homes. Stacy also worked for Nurses Unlimited in private care, where her compassion touched the lives of many. In Alpine, she managed Deja Vu, the thrift store that supports the Family Crisis Center of the Big Bend. She took great pride in this role, knowing her work made a meaningful difference in the community.
As a proud and passionate Dallas Cowboys fan, she never missed an opportunity to cheer on her team. She also had a deep love for local sports, always supporting the Lady Bucks, especially during Vega’s years on the volleyball team. Stacy’s passions extended to animals—taking in strays and helping those in need. Her dog, BeeBee, was like her second child, and she made sure they were always together.
Stacy’s will and endurance were tested many times, yet she never gave up. Her bright smile, laughter, and determination are memories we treasure. May she rest in peace.
Stacy is survived by her daughter Vega, sister Kimberly Harrison (Jay Puga), mother Frances Fellows, grandmother Robbie Fellows, and countless family members who will forever cherish the memories they shared.
A Celebration of Life for Stacy will be held at Iglesia Cristiana Jesus es Ray (Jesus is King Christian Church), 700 West 1st Street, Marfa, Texas, on Saturday, February 15, at 11 a.m. To honor Stacy’s memory, please wear pink, a Dallas Cowboys shirt, or team colors. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a Benefit for Stacy Harrison Memorial Fund at WesTex Credit Union in Alpine.
