Pilar H. Llanez passed away at the age of 90 and was a resident of Alpine. Pilar was born to the late Ursolo and Catarina Llanez. Pilar came from a family of 10 children.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 24 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Praying of the most Holy Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the funeral Mass begins at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Angels Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Santos Lopez and Catarina Garcia, his brothers Felix and Laco, granddaughter Caitlyn Llanez, sonin- law George Ramos, and great-granddaughters Analeigh and Adaleina Natera.

He is survived by his brothers George, Patrico, and Refugio, and sisters Esperanza Chavez and Maria Delgado.

Pilar married Ramona Bermudez on January 3, 1958, and together they have six children Robert, Miguel, Adel, Glen, Ceasar, and Brian. They also have 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Pilar was a devout Catholic and a retiree of the Southern Pacific Railroad. He had a strong love for baseball and played golf as well, which was passed down from generation to generation. Pilar was a passionate man when it came to his wife and family. He loved deeply and with his whole heart. Pilar was an extraordinary man who held many qualities, one of them being that he was such a devoted husband and father.
