Estefana Urquidez 91, beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on Feb. 28, in Laveen, Arizona.

Praying of the Most Holy Rosary was held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic on Thursday, March 9, at 9:30 a.m. followed by mass and burial at

Holy Angels Cemetery officiated by Father Pablo Matta.

She entered this world on September 8, 1931, in Alpine. Born to Manuel Robledo and Petra Garcia, she grew up in Alpine and attended school there. She worked as a waitress at the Holland Hotel, before transitioning to Big Bend Regional Hospital then to Alpine Valley Care Center and Bien Venido Restaurant as a waitress working with her brother Manuel Robledo.

In 1957, Estefana married Margarito Urquidez. They lived and raised two children in Alpine, Adela, Rebecca, and one grandchild Amanda.

In May 2020, her husband of 60 years passed away. Estefana is survived by daughter Adela Urquidez- Samara and Rebecca Urquidez Thomas; grandchildren - Basil Samara, Mona Samara –Twan, Sammy Samara, Adam Samara, Amanda Tubig, Rochelle Thomas Hughes, Jimmie W. Thomas, II; great-grandchildren - Emerald Bustos Lozano, Sage Bustos, Jade Tubig, Thomas Hughes, Wade E. Thomas, James Hughes, Axel Thomas, Naya Samara, Isla Samara, Jude Samara; greatgreat grandson - Vicente Margarito Lozano.
