Edward Ronald Marcin, of Austin, died Tuesday, June 18 at the age of 93. Ed was born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 30, 1930, to Edward L. Marcin and Alexandra “Olga” Sadowski.

In 1976, Edward received his PhD in Business Administration. He taught at DePaul University, the University of Dallas, and Georgia College, before retiring from Sul Ross State University in Alpine in 2001.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Dolores; his sister Sandra Prather; and his daughter-in-law Kathy. He is survived by three sons: Edward, Jr.; Michael and daughterin- law Christine; and Thomas and daughterin- law Elaine; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, his memory will live on.

Visitation July 26 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, Lakeway with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass July 27 at 11 a.m. at Emmaus Catholic Church, Lakeway.
