Colin Wade Powers, 55, passed away July 3, 2022, at his home in Alpine, Texas.

He was the son of Mike and Frieda Powers of Alpine. Colin attended school at North Garland High School, and graduated from the School of Hard Knocks somewhere between New Mexico and Texas.

Known for his quick wit and charm, he was a good friend and a great listener, and had a gift for lifting your spirits when you were feeling blue. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Colin is survived by his parents Mike and Frieda Powers, of Alpine; sister Lee Ann Powers of Alpine; daughters Tori Ann Powers of Lubbock and Mindy Lee Powers Cartwright and Haylee Nicole Millins of Carlsbad, N.M.

He had several special angels who helped provide care for him along the way. He loved them all dearly, and considered them part of his family.

Private burial services will be held in Carlsbad. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
