Christopher Paul Chavez, 33, of Early, Texas went to his heavenly home on April 8, surrounded by those who loved and cared for him. Chris was born in Alpine on October 13, 1989. He was known for his humor, sarcasm, and great passion for everything he loved. He was a lover of all sports at all levels, but was fiercely loyal to the Texas Longhorns, Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Cowboys, and any team his father was coaching. Chris brought joy with his

mischievous smile and his love of life and was a light to everybody he knew. His Catholic faith was strong through the entirety of his life.

Visitation will be at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 14 followed by praying of the Most Holy Rosary at 1:30 p.m. Father Pablo Matta will be officiating the mass following the rosary with burial at Holy Angels Cemetery in Alpine.

Pallbearers for Chris are his cousins Glenn Losoya, Michael Chavez, John Chavez, Jordie Martinez, Joey Chavez, Jacob Chavez, his uncle David Gomez, and his brother Kevin Chavez. Chris is survived by his parents Alfonso Chavez Jr and Rosie Chavez, brother Kevin Chavez, sisters Annikka Chavez and Monica Gomez, grandparents Alfonso Chavez Sr, Inez Chavez, Gregorio Gomez Sr, Rosa Gomez, Joe Mattingley, and Grace Ramsey along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be forever loved and missed dearly by all who knew him and came into contact with him.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association would be greatly appreciated to help find a cure for this devastating disease.
