Becky DeLeon, 75, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, June 29.

Celebration of life services will be at 3 p.m., Friday, July 11, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Pastor Darrel Bonjour officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Becky was born the oldest daughter of Gerald and Opal Henson on June 20, 1950, in Abilene.

She graduated from Monahans High School and went on to attend Sul Ross University in Alpine. Becky worked as a typesetter, gardening journalist, and cartographer at the Alpine Avalanche until 1988.

She is survived by her mother, Opal Henson;

her daughter, Micona DeLeon- Jenkins and husband, Benjamin S. Jenkins; her brother, Jerry Henson; her sister, Karen Thomas and life partner, Tommy Diez; her brother, Tracy Henson and wife, Lisa; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
