Dear Neil, My husband planted a pineapple top several years ago. It grew quite large, and then, to our surprise, a tiny pineapple formed in the center of the plant. Now the original plant is beginning to decline. Is that normal for a fruit-producing pineapple? Also, the new fruit isn’t full-sized. Is that also normal? What should we do with each of them now?
